As you can see, the Watchmac user interface has been refined for this new release:

What probably isn’t obvious from the pictures, is that Watchmac 1.2 will introduce a plug-in API that allows Watchmac’s infringement detection and reaction capabilities to be extended. This API will be published for third-party developers after release. Currently 85 % of the features of version 1.1 have been ported to this new API.

Just to let all you Watchmac users out there know, we’re actively working on version 1.2 which will introduce some neat new features and lay the foundation for some even bigger ones that you can probably expect to be ready within the next few months. Watchmac 1.2 is planned to be released by the end of november. Stay tuned!

Today we have released Watchmac 1.1, a free update to our popular security and monitoring application for Mac OS X. The most important change is a new option that allows you to have Watchmac send an alert email to you.
